Zen Internet proposes the use of Ubiquiti M5 CPE as it limits interference and packet loss issues which is a common network problem for other Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Freetown.

We use shielded Cat 6e cabling for all wired Ethernet connections grounded through the AC ground of the POE connected to a power stabilizer or UPS. We include a 1 year warranty for each radio provided.

What is fiber broadband?

The ACE cable, administered by a consortium of 20 members links Europe to the West Coast of Africa through an unprecedented connectivity. This 700-million-dollar system uses the most advanced high-speed broadband fiber optic technology and is a vector of social development and economic growth in Africa connecting over 450 million people.

The first phase of the 17,000km fiber optic cable was put in service on December 15th, 2012. The cable will eventually connect 23 countries, either directly for coastal countries or through land links for landlocked countries. Sierra Leone was activated in Phase 1 in December 2012.
